Under the Premier Future Ag Leaders Scholarship Program, which runs through 2024, Premier Select Sires will give up to $20,000 to students residing in Premier area. Either the Wayne Dudley Scholarship or the Johnny Daniel Memorial Scholarship will provide $2,500 to two deserving students. A number of additional students will be awarded scholarships ranging from $750 to $1,000.
Scholarship application forms has been made available since November 15, 2023 under the “News” tab of www.premierselectsires.com, by calling (570) 836-3168, or by emailing office@premierselect.com. Completed scholarship applications are due January 31, 2024.
Students who are seniors in high school or college and who are enrolled or intend to enroll in an undergraduate program connected to agriculture are eligible. The student, along with their parent(s) or guardian(s), must be a current, in-good-standing Premier customer and reside in the Premier membership region. Prior winners of scholarships are still eligible for awards in succeeding years; however, a student is only permitted to win a $2,500 scholarship once during their academic career.
A financial aid program known as the Premier Future Ag Leaders Scholarship Program is available to qualified college freshmen majoring in agriculture. The initiative helps the next generation of youth who want to study and work in the agriculture industry, which gives the cooperative’s member-owners greater returns. The board of directors of Premier Select Sires, Inc. has pledged to fund this scholarship program annually and continuously.
