First National Bank is once again presenting five scholarships to local high school seniors, which could be the simplest $1,000 they will earn.
For those seeking to apply, the procedure is simple: Apply on First National Bank’s website, attach a high school transcript, and record a 30- to 60-second video answering the following prompt:
What type of business would you open in your community, and why?
This could be something you’re enthusiastic about, like a photography studio, something that meets a need, like a gluten-free, vegan-friendly bakery, or something that would benefit your community, like a music store that provides professional instruction for all instruments.
That’s correct – no essay is necessary. In fact, the application is so simple that you can complete it from your local coffee shop in less time than it takes to finish your beverage.
As soon as your video is ready, here’s what to do:
- Download and complete the two-page application found on First National Bank’s website.
- Request an official transcript from your school.
- Post the video on YouTube, Vimeo, TikTok or Instagram Reels. Choose “public” or “unlisted” when uploading the video, and include a link with the other application materials. If submitting a TikTok or Instagram Reel, make sure your account is set to “public.”
- Upload these items using the form on First National Bank’s website. All requirements listed above must be met, otherwise it will result in disqualification of the applicant.
Applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, March 31, and students are not required to be customers of The First National Bank in Sioux Falls.
Do you know a high school senior who would benefit from a $1,000 scholarship? Do not let them miss out on this fantastic opportunity!
