Cassie Stevens Named 2024 SEC Gymnastics Scholar-Athlete of the Year

Cassie Stevens of Auburn has been named the 2024 SEC Gymnastics Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Stevens, a graduate student from Phoenix, Arizona, has a 4.00 grade point average while pursuing a doctorate degree in exercise science. She received her undergraduate degree in Information Systems Management with a 4.0 GPA.

Stevens has competed in the all-around at every meet this season and now is in the top 15 nationally with a NQS of 39.590. She won 13 events during the regular season, including five in the all-around, four on vault, three on beam, and one on floor.

Stevens has established or equaled lifetime bests in the all-around (39.7), bars (9.925), beam (9.975), and floor (9.925) this season. Six of her all-around scores have been 39.550 or above, including a career-high 39.700.

Stevens, the 2023 SEC Gymnastics Scholar-Athlete of the Year, is a four-time WCGA Scholastic All-American. She was named to the Winter SEC Academic Honor Roll three times and made the 2019-20 First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll.

Stevens is a Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society member and a nominee for the 2023 AAI Award. The 2023 College Sports Communicators (CSC) First Team Academic All-American has appeared on Auburn’s Dean’s List seven times during her academic career.
