Alternates for Critical Language Scholarships may be improved if more spots become available in language institutes.

APPLY: Win $1,000 Scholarship While Sipping Coffee at Your Beloved Café

First National Bank is once again presenting five scholarships to local high school seniors, which could be the simplest $1,000 they will earn.

For those seeking to apply, the procedure is simple: Apply on First National Bank’s website, attach a high school transcript, and record a 30- to 60-second video answering the following prompt:

What type of business would you open in your community, and why?

This could be something you’re enthusiastic about, like a photography studio, something that meets a need, like a gluten-free, vegan-friendly bakery, or something that would benefit your community, like a music store that provides professional instruction for all instruments.

That’s correct – no essay is necessary. In fact, the application is so simple that you can complete it from your local coffee shop in less time than it takes to finish your beverage.

As soon as your video is ready, here’s what to do:

    1. Download and complete the two-page application found on First National Bank’s website.
    2. Request an official transcript from your school.
    3. Post the video on YouTube, Vimeo, TikTok or Instagram Reels. Choose “public” or “unlisted” when uploading the video, and include a link with the other application materials. If submitting a TikTok or Instagram Reel, make sure your account is set to “public.”
    4. Upload these items using the form on First National Bank’s website. All requirements listed above must be met, otherwise it will result in disqualification of the applicant.

Applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, March 31, and students are not required to be customers of The First National Bank in Sioux Falls.

Do you know a high school senior who would benefit from a $1,000 scholarship? Do not let them miss out on this fantastic opportunity!

Daly City Student Awarded $25,000 Chick-fil-A Scholarship

A Chick-fil-A Daly City employee was awarded a $25,000 college scholarship.

“I want to present you with a $25,000 Chick-fil-A scholarship,” stated CEO Andrew Cathy.

Noel Hwang is one of 14 “True Inspiration” scholarship recipients in North America.

He will be a first-generation college student, the son of immigrant parents.

During his time on the job, Hwang assisted in the launch of a pilot program called the “Leader Academy” at his local restaurant, as well as the facilitation of community service projects.

“Seeing this much money to fund my future education made me very grateful. I almost sobbed, but my defensive mechanism when I’m overwhelmed is to laugh, so I started laughing instead, and I was just so happy and grateful,” Hwang said.

He will graduate high school in May and is still deciding where he will go to college in the fall.

  • APPLY NOW: NCMC Foundation Announces 2024 Scholarship Application Deadline

APPLY NOW: NCMC Foundation Announces 2024 Scholarship Application Deadline

The North Central Missouri College Foundation announces the NCMC Foundation Scholarship application deadline of 4:30 p.m. on April 1, 2024, for the 2024-2025 academic year. Any student expecting to enroll full-time at NCMC in the autumn is highly encouraged to apply.

“The Foundation requires only one online application, which puts students in the running for all scholarships they may be eligible for,” stated NCMC Scholarship Coordinator Kristi Varner. The Foundation will give nearly $260,000 in scholarships for the 2024-2025 academic year, thanks to the generosity of many benefactors who believe in investing in NCMC students. I recommend kids to apply early because an essay is necessary.

This site allows incoming, returning, and transferring students to access and complete the scholarship application. Prospective and existing students must submit a single online application per year to be considered for all eligible scholarships. Scholarships are awarded based on financial need, academic success, program of study, essay, or a combination of these criteria. Questions about the application process should be sent to Ms. Varner at (660) 357-6321.

Scholarships are a donation that lowers the overall cost of attending NCMC. Scholarships do not need repayment and are an excellent way for NCMC students to keep the expense of their higher education affordable. Applicants complete a single application, and each application is processed and scored using criteria relevant to each scholarship opportunity. Students can access their award through their student account after being selected, notified, and verified for full-time attendance in the fall semester of 2024.
