CattleCon24 Honors 2024 CME Group Beef Industry Scholarship Awardees

The National Cattlemen’s Foundation (NCF) granted $1,500 scholarships to ten students seeking professions in the cattle industry and acknowledged them at CattleCon 24 in Orlando. The CME Group Beef Industry Scholarship Program rewards brilliant and intelligent students who are rising as industry leaders.

The 2024 CME Group Beef Industry Scholarship recipients are:

  • Grace Anderson of San Luis Obispo, California, California Polytechnic University
  • Addie Brown of Beeville, Texas, West Texas A&M University
  • Bryce Hoeltzel of Olsburg, Kansas, Allen Community College
  • Harper Kirsch of Platte, South Dakota, Iowa State University
  • Alaina Link of Moberly, Missouri, University of Missouri
  • Delaney Nichols of Marshalltown, Iowa, Iowa State University
  • Collin Ochsner of Kersey, Colorado, Texas Tech University
  • Ava Perrier of Eureka, Kansas, Kansas State University
  • Megan Sanders of Oral, South Dakota, South Dakota State University
  • Weston Schrader of Wells, Kansas, Kansas State University

 

“Thanks to the generous support of CME Group, we can provide scholarships to future leaders in the cattle industry,” said NCF Chair Dave True. “It is an honor to recognize this year’s recipients during CattleCon.”

The scholarship, established in 1989 and funded by CME Group, recognizes and encourages bright students who will play an important role in the future of food production. Students studying education, communication, production, research, or other aspects of the cattle sector are eligible to apply for the annual scholarship program.

The National Cattlemen’s Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that was founded in 1972. It conducts charitable, scientific, and instructional activities that help the cattle sector.
