The music school located in Legacy Park in Decatur, the Frank Hamilton School, has instituted a scholarship program in memory of a previous pupil. Donations for the Sarah Cumming Scholarship Fund are also being accepted by the institution.
Sarah Cumming attended the Frank Hamilton School with great dedication. She loved to sing, play the guitar, harmonica, and write songs. According to a press statement, she passed away on December 6 from a brain tumor, and in her honor, the school is offering a scholarship that would pay for a student’s whole tuition.
Donations to the scholarship will pay for up to one year of classes for a student of any age who cannot easily afford the tuition.
