East Central University is gearing up for the start of the spring semester on Jan. 16 by making many scholarship announcements and opportunities available now.
“Perhaps you tried a different university last semester and it wasn’t the right fit for you, or you attended ECU in the past and would like to return and finish your degree, either way, at ECU we understand that life happens,” said Ashlee Heck, ECU’s director of admissions and recruitment.
“For these reasons, we’ve developed a couple scholarship opportunities for students, new and returning, to attend East Central University in 2024.”
Former ECU Student Scholarship
Returning to college as an adult or after a sabbatical is a big decision that can open up new doors and help you flourish in your profession or personal development. ECU is here to help you succeed by providing you with the resources you need. A one-time $1,000 award is available.

ECU Transfer Scholarship
The scholarship is only available to new transfer students who are presently enrolled at another college and plan to transfer to ECU for the Spring 2024 semester (current and former ECU students are not eligible). A one-time $1,000 award is available.

Ada Student Attraction Program (ASAP) Scholarship
For the ASAP Scholarship, ECU has teamed with the City of Ada. A student may receive up to $1,750 ($1000 for tuition and $750 for housing), with the City of Ada contributing $1,000. A student must be a new, full-time ECU student, reside on campus, and work in Ada to be eligible for the scholarship.

All scholarships require full-time attendance, which is comparable to 12 hours for undergraduates and 6 hours for graduates.
