Elk Grove Unified School District Seniors are Eligible for up to $15,000 in Scholarships

Elk Grove Unified School District high school seniors who intend to enroll in a two- or four-year college or vocational school are eligible to apply for academic grants and scholarships from the Elk Grove Regional Scholarship Foundation.

The number of scholarships available to qualified students is around 150. Scholarship recipients will get funding, which varies from $1,000 to $15,000.

There are many requirements for each scholarship that must be fulfilled in order to be eligible for funding. All applications for scholarships must be submitted online by students.

Applications for the 2024 Elk Grove Regional Scholarship Foundation are accepted through January 26. In late March, the chosen winners will get notification.

Seniors who attend the following high schools are eligible for scholarships: Elk Grove, Cosumnes Oaks, Florin, Franklin, Laguna Creek, Monterey Trail, Pleasant Grove, Sheldon, Valley, Calvine, Las Flores, Rio Cazadero, William Daylor and Elk Grove Charter School.

Depending on the scholarship, maintaining an academic grade point average of at least 2.0 is one of the minimal requirements. Candidates must to submit applications for scholarships for which they are qualified solely.

Students wishing to pursue careers in agriculture, nursing, teaching, auto repair, politics, or the arts can apply for scholarships.

The Elk Grove Regional Scholarship Foundation gave local students 192 scholarships last year, with a combined total of almost $30,000.

On its website, the Elk Grove Regional Scholarship Foundation states that its goals are to coordinate contributions to fulfill community needs and to assist the creation of educational opportunities and programs through scholarships and grants.

The Elk Grove Regional Scholarship Foundation states that the person or organization that created the funds sets the requirements for scholarships.

For consideration, applications must be completed in their whole. Every application must have any additional information needed attached to it.

It should take students around an hour to finish each application.
