    The University of Ottawa Undergraduate award is a renewable average-based award for students studying in English from Africa, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, South Korea, India, or Bangladesh.

    This renewable scholarship is available to international students who are citizens of African countries, who are admitted in the Fall 2024 term (September start date) or later, who study in English, and who enroll in one of the specified undergraduate programs in the faculties of Engineering, Science, or Social Sciences.

    This substantial financial commitment to their education cuts their tuition expenses by $17,500 to $25,000 for excellence scholarships and $12,000 to $20,000 for admission scholarships, depending on the program annually.

    The entrance and excellence scholarship will provide incoming students with a four-year scholarship to cover the partial cost of their university tuition.

    All amounts are in Canadian dollars. These scholarships may be renewed for up to 12 terms.

    Eligible Field of Study:

    • Engineering: Civil Engineering; Chemical Engineering
    • Social sciences: Sociology; Anthropology; International Development and Globalization; Conflict Studies; Public Administration
    • Sciences: All programs except the Honours BSc in Biochemistry / BASc in Chemical Engineering; Honours BSc in Physics/BASc in Electrical Engineering; and Honours BSc in Ophthalmic Medical Technology

    Eligible Countries: Africa, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, South Korea, India or Bangladesh studying in English.

    Eligibility: All eligible students are considered for this award and will be notified at the time of their admission. Although no application is required for this scholarship, recipients will be asked to submit proof of citizenship of a country of territory in Africa before receiving their first installment.

    The applicant must:

    1. be an international student with a valid study permit;
    2. have citizenship from one of the countries in Africa, India, Bangladesh, Indonesia or Vietnam ;
    3. be enrolled full-time; and
    4. For the Entrance scholarship: have an admission average of 89.99% or lower once converted in our grading scale
    5. For the Excellence scholarship: have an admission average of a minimum of 90% once converted in our grading
      scale.
    6. be newly admitted in one of the following undergraduate programs offered in English or with the French Immersion

    • Then the University would receive the application and generate a Student Number which the prospective student would use to login to the school’s portal, UOZone, and then submit their results and documents for review.
    • After a successful review, they will be offered a conditional admission offer which will include the scholarship depending on their average.
      The submission deadline for all 2022 nominations is by 5:00 p.m., Central Time, on or before 31st March, 2022.

    The Toronto School of Management (TSoM) Scholarship has been established in order to support and encourage International students and their  family members to join the Toronto School of Management (TSoM) and help them to continue working to achieve their educational goals.

    The Sherryl Kintu Scholarship was also set up as a tribute to, and in recognition of, the passions and interests of Sherryl Kintu, who was a dedicated employee of Global University Systems for 9 years where she rose from Executive Assistant to a Director level position. Sherryl sadly passed away in April 2021.

    Sherryl was known as a trustworthy friend to individuals and the company, with a passion and drive for everything she did. Applicants to this scholarship are expected to reflect these qualities.

    • To qualify for the scholarship, students must provide the required supporting documentation. Incomplete award applications will not be considered.

    • This scholarship is applicable only for on-campus studies and scholarship recipient must have an approved and valid study permit.

    This merit scholarship is for students with a high academic qualification (students with GPA 85%+ and 6.5+ IELTS (or equivalent in TOEFL, Duolingo, senior high school grade in English) looking to be rewarded for their performance in the senior year of high school, college or university.

    New students starting their Diploma and/or Advanced Diploma studies are eligible for consideration for an international entrance scholarship at Humber. This scholarship offers a CAD 2,000 reduction in tuition fees during the first two semesters of study (CAD 1,000 per semester).

    Further details of this scholarship are:

    1. Humber may consider high school students who have demonstrated academic excellence for the international entrance scholarship, but due to the limited number of scholarships available, only those with the highest GPA (Grade Point Average) will be awarded. Humber’s admissions team will calculate the GPA based on the high school transcripts received during the admissions assessment process. No separate application is required for the International Entrance Scholarship, as the awards are automatically granted to eligible candidates after they commence their studies.
    2. A total of 20 scholarships will be awarded to new students starting in September, 15 scholarships will be awarded to new students starting in January, and 5 scholarships will be awarded to new students starting in May. Per every starting semester, each recipient must come from a different country. In other words, no more than one student from any single country may receive the award within the same starting semester.
    3. The award will be applied towards the student’s MyHumber account as a credit after the 10th day of classes in two instalments of CAD 1,000. Both payments will be applied to the second semester. The scholarship recipient is still required to pay the full amount for the first semester.
    4. Only successful recipients will be notified after the Day 10 of their 1st-semester studies.

    • Bachelor’s Degree scholarships are available to students coming directly from high school/secondary school studies, who are non-transfer students (i.e. haven’t attended college or university, or studied in Humber’s EAP program), and are unlimited in quantity.
    • Humber awards degree scholarships automatically to graduating high school students based on academic achievement.

    Graduate Degree

    This entrance scholarship is available for Graduate Certificate, Diploma, and Advanced Diploma students joining Humber in January 2022.

    Number of Awards: A total of 10 undergraduate and 10 graduate eligible new international students will be awarded a CAD 2,000 scholarship.*

    Effective May 1, 2019 (spring 2019 admissions cycle), the International Master’s Award of Excellence, valued at $2,500 per term for a maximum of five full-time terms within the allowable program time limits (6 terms), will be awarded to eligible international master’s students normally entering a research-based graduate program at the University of Waterloo. Faculties will nominate eligible students based on the Faculty’s award allocation. Students will be selected based on academic excellence as demonstrated through their application for admission to the graduate program.

    Eligibility & Selection Criteria: 

    • International students who are registered full time and assessed international tuition fees.
    • Normally given to students in research-based programs (thesis or major research paper).
    • Will normally only be given to students entering the first term of their program (term 1.0).
    • Students must demonstrate academic excellence through criteria established by the Faculty.
    • Students must meet the academic progress requirements of their program and not have outstanding probationary admission requirements.
    • This award could be in addition to other internal or external scholarships (e.g., UW Graduate Scholarship, OGS,  etc). Note: scholarships are different than sponsorships – see next bullet.
    • Normally, students should not be concurrently receiving foreign government or agency sponsorship (e.g., China Scholarship Council, Libyan sponsorship, etc) or be fully or partially self-funded in excess of the Faculty minimum levels of support.
    • Students grand-parented under the existing IMSA program cannot be nominated for an IMAE; however, a student previously awarded an IMSA for a previously completed master’s degree can be nominated for an IMAE.
    • Students will be automatically considered for this award based on their application for admission. Departments and/or Faculty will define their own internal process by which they select recipients based on the eligibility criteria and allocation.
    • Faculties may impose stricter eligibility criteria as appropriate.

    The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarships at the University of Toronto provide an unparalleled opportunity for outstanding international students to study at one of the world’s best universities in one of the world’s most multicultural cities. The scholarship program is intended to recognize students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and creativity and who are recognized as leaders within their school.     Awarded annually, these scholarships recognize outstanding students from around the world, including international students studying at Canadian high schools. This is U of T’s most prestigious and competitive scholarship for international students. The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarships will cover tuition, books, incidental fees, and full residence support for four years.     3. Once we’ve received a nomination and you’ve applied to the university, you can complete the online Lester B. Pearson Scholarship application.  You will receive a private link to the scholarship application when you are successfully nominated by your school.

    Pearson Scholarship Deadlines

    • School nomination deadline: November 30, 2023
    • Student OUAC admission application deadline: December 15, 2023 (Please note this is the final date to submit an application to the OUAC; although you can apply up to December 15 2023, it is recommended you apply for admission through the OUAC as soon as possible. The recommended date to apply for admission is before November 7, 2023 as spaces in programs fill-up quickly and popular programs may close early.)

    Eligibility: To be eligible to apply to the Pearson International Scholarship, you must be:
