The United Nations Volunteer Abroad with the UN Program

The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme contributes to peace and development through volunteerism worldwide. The organization works with partners to integrate qualified, highly motivated and well supported UN Volunteers into development programming and promote the value and global recognition of volunteerism.

Approximately 2,000 assignments become available per year. The United Nations Volunteers is administered by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and reports to the UNDP/UNFPA/UNOPS Executive Board.

Volunteering abroad presents its self as an opportunity for you to serve as a global citizen.
