The Thomas J. Seefred Trust, established in 2005, will award $3,000 in scholarships to qualified students this year.
The scholarship is exclusively accessible to students aged 18 to 25 who are pursuing a normal curriculum leading to a bachelor’s degree at a recognized college or university.
Current high school students are not eligible for this grant.
This award is open to residents throughout the state, but applications from Trumbull, Mahoning, and Columbiana Counties are given special consideration.
The Thomas J. Seefred Trust, founded in 2005 by billionaire Thomas J. Seefred, offers educational and financial support to college students with Juvenile Diabetes, according to a news release by trustee Karen Leetch.
