Top 8 Scholarships in France for International Students

France has been a popular study destination for overseas students. However, studies and living expenses in France are not always reasonable. Although annual tuition prices at public institutions are inexpensive, ranging between €200 and €600, private universities can charge up to €10,000. Living expenses are roughly €10,000 per year. Fortunately, there are several French scholarships for overseas students available.

1. Eiffel Excellence Scholarships

The Eiffel scholarship program was created by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to help French higher education institutions attract the brightest international students for master’s and PhD degree programs. Eiffel scholarship holders on Master’s studies receive €1,181, while those on PhD courses receive €1,400. In addition, the program covers a variety of expenses, such as return travel, health insurance, and cultural activities. Scholarship holders may also be entitled for an additional lodging payment. The program does not pay tuition costs.
