U.S: 15 Students Selected as 2024 Daniels Scholarship Recipients

Just over a dozen local high school seniors were announced as Daniels Scholarship recipients, joining hundreds of students from Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming.

The Daniels Fund announced its 2024 class on Monday, which includes 144 students from Colorado. Recipients of this scholarship can utilize it at any accredited university or non-profit college in the country, with full tuition covered at partner schools in the four states and up to $100,000 covered over four years for those attending college in any other state.

Four seniors at Delta High School received Daniels Scholarships: Regann Alsdorf, Shayla Curtis, Judah Neely, and Zoey Shean.

Other local students that received the Daniels Scholarship include:

  • Cyrus Lawrence, Palisade
  • David Martinez, Cedaredge
  • Gabriel Cordoba, Glenwood Springs
  • Allie Sanders, Meeker
  • Bailey Cheezum, Montrose
  • Jaxon Killen, Montrose
  • Lane Allen, North Fork
  • Raney Moore, North Fork
  • Riley Burr, Ridgway

With this year’s class, the number of Daniels Scholarship recipients has surpassed 5,000, with more than $260 million distributed since 2000.

“We are thrilled to support the educational aspirations of this tremendous group of young people,” said Daniels Fund President and CEO Hanna Skandera in a statement announcing the 2024 class. “They represent the next generation of leaders and we can’t wait to see the amazing things they will accomplish with this opportunity.”
