Applications for Park City’s new child care assistance program will be accepted starting in 2024.
Upwards, a nationwide network of child care centers, and Park City Municipal have joined to handle applications and offer funding to approved providers.
The Park City Council heard concerns from numerous families over high enrollment costs and lengthy waitlists, so they decided to support child care with a $1 million budgetary allocation. The pandemic’s effects on child care financing from the federal government ended in 2023.
The initiative provides financial incentives to providers in addition to two distinct scholarships for families.
Beginning on January 1st, the help is offered on a first-come, first-served basis each month.
People can find out if they qualify, learn more about the program, and apply on Upwards’ website or app.
