US: High School Students Can Apply for a $60,000 Scholarship

Mediacom Communications is providing a $60,000 scholarship to high school seniors who plan to further their studies. The scholarship program is in its 23rd year, and Mediacom’s funding will provide 60 high school graduates with $1,000 World Class Scholarships.

Starting in the fall of 2024, scholarship recipients will be able to use their cash rewards to pay post-secondary college tuition or vocational training from a recognized institution. Academic achievement and leadership achievements are used to determine award recipients.

Mediacom’s World Class Scholarship applications are now accessible online at mediacomworldclass.com. All high schools in Mediacom’s high-speed internet service areas have received information. High school administrators are advised to encourage seniors to apply on or before January 31, 2024.

“Our company makes it a priority to give back to communities in which we do business, and we believe one of the best ways is to invest in promising young students who will be our future leaders,” said Tapan Dandnaik, Mediacom’s SVP of Operations, Product Strategy and Consumer Experience.

Applicants must live in the 22-state area served by Mediacom’s fiber-rich internet network but are not required to be Mediacom customers. The online application includes a complete list of communities in Mediacom service areas. Inquiries may be sent to scholarship@mediacomcc.com.
