EducationQuest has given 14 Nebraskans $75,000 in Reaching Your Potential Scholarship money.
EducationQuest’s Reaching Your Potential Scholarship program offers renewable scholarships to low-income Nebraska students who face barriers to education. Applicants are referred by community agencies, colleges, and certain high schools throughout the state. Recipients who attend a two-year college receive $3,000 annually, while those who attend a four-year college receive $6,300 annually.
Since its inception in 2000, EducationQuest has awarded over $8.5 million in scholarships to 657 Nebraskans. Of these, 80% are either enrolled in college or have graduated.
Eric Drumheller, Vice President of Grants and Scholarships, stated that the Reaching Your Potential Scholarship program helps level the playing field for students who have faced challenges that could prevent them from attending college. We are amazed by the persistence of our most recent scholarship awardees and look forward to celebrating their academic and professional achievements.”
